The Galloway Cattle Society of Great Britain and Ireland formed in 1877. Our members include farmers and pedigree breeders of Galloway Cattle, as well as people who are passionate about Galloways and wish to support this historic native breed.

The Galloway excels at producing good beef from grass – and good beef from scrub. It brings hardy, native traits from the past right into the modern market, producing great tasting beef that climate conscious customers can feel good about.
Buy and Sell
There’s growing demand for Galloways right across the UK and Ireland. Shows and sales take place throughout the year. The Society can also help you buy or sell Galloways privately.

The Exmoor Forest Estate
The Exmoor Forest Estate is centered around the small village of Simonsbath in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. Originally a Royal hunting forest from Saxon times it encompassed some 20,000 acres of wild exposed moorland.
