A pedigree Galloway cow has started the autumn calving season in remarkable fashion, giving birth to four live, healthy calves – three bulls and a heifer – in what could be a first for the historic breed.

2027 World Galloway Congress Invitation and Itinerary Launched

The Galloway Cattle Society is delighted to announce that the official invitation and itinerary for the 2027 World Galloway Congress have now been released, marking an exciting milestone as preparations continue for what will be two very special celebrations.

The 2027 World Galloway Congress will be hosted jointly by the Galloway Cattle Society and the Belted Galloway Cattle Society, bringing together breeders, members and friends of Galloway Family breeds from across the world. Alongside hosting the international Galloway community, 2027 will also mark the 150th Anniversary of the Galloway Cattle Society.   

Kirkstead Nancy H1, exhibited by Graham & Gall’s 3G Herd, Stirling, repeated its 2026 Royal Highland Show success by winning both the Female Championship and the Overall Breed Championship.

Applications are now open for the On-Farm Herd Competition 2026. 

To be judged during July and early August.
